Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic
The Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic Control was founded in 1999 with the aim to specially focus on the research areas systems theory and automatic control. It is part of the Department on Engineering Design, Production Engineering and Automotive Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. Research at the IST is characterised by a theoretic and methodological approach to problems related to systems theory and automatic control. The main focus therein lies on the development of cutting edge methods concerning the characterization, analysis and control of complex systems of different kinds.
